This campaign fosters relationships between farmers, ranchers, local restaurants, institutions, grocers and consumers.  It is part of a larger regional food systems project entitled Cultivating Local Food with the goal of increasing food security and economic opportunities in Central Oregon. This project is supported by Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council (COIC) with a grant from the Meyer Memorial Trust.

Adopt-A-Business

Supporters are asked to be “Adopt-A-Business” advocates. These advocates are BFBL Members who are committed to supporting a sustainable local food system. They pledge to visit a Producer or Business Member to ensure that they are meeting the BFBL standards. Their comments are posted on facebook as a way to acknowledge those that are doing an outstanding job and to encourage those that may need more support.
